I understand the concerns with mercury, but what about the BPA found in resins used to restore teeth? New research suggests the saliva enzymes release and react with BPA to create esterase. More and more research is being done all the time. What will happen when these patients find out all their "mercury fillings" have been replaced with something potentially worse? Canada has outlawed the use of "plastics" with BPA in them in the food industry. Who is looking out for our patients? What are your biocompatable materials you use. I would love to have an alternative to discuss with my patients.
Thank you
