Holistic Dental Implants

When a tooth is lost due to extraction or accident, many dental patients may consider holistic dental implants as an alternative to bridges or false teeth. These dental implants are designed to work in harmony with the body's symptoms, and not interfere with the natural circulation in the bone or cause allergic reactions.

Implants may be indicated where it is necessary to replace balance and function to the mouth, or to repair cosmetic damage caused by teeth which have been knocked out in an accident. They are generally more desirable than bridges or false teeth, implants don't require the maintenance and care that those standard replacements do.

A dental implant is designed to imitate a tooth root. A specially prepared titanium screw (coated with protective biocompatible materials so that the metal never makes direct contact with the bone)is surgically implanted into the bone. After a sufficient amount of time has passed for healing, and to make sure the implant is firmly in place, a biocompatible porcelain crown is placed over the implant and bonded to it, much the same way a crown is placed over a post or remaining tooth material. The result is a natural looking and functioning tooth restoration.

This type of dental implant is designed to imitate nature as much as possible in form and function. Ask us for more information. We'll be glad to answer any questions you may have.
